Q: How do I connect my cube to a thick ethernet network?\
\
A: Various manufacturers (Inmac, Blackbox, 3Com, Cabletron) have products which are reported to do this. Two known products are from Cabletron. One, their “MiniMMAC,” is a “Multi-Media Access Center” and permits conversion among thin ethernet, thick ethernet, fiber optic cable, and twisted-pair ethernet. It's a high-end, high-cost solution:

For one inbound port and two board-choices of outbound ports - $3000\

Cabletron also has a simple thin-to-thick converter, the MR-2000, for ~$700-800.\

Cabletron is at (603) 332-9400 [Eastern US & Corporate HQ], (408) 986-0566 [Western US].\
